This WalkingPad model is aimed at small flats and home offices where storage space is the deciding factor. It folds 180 degrees, and the cover is only about 4.2 cm thick, so the folded pad can slip under a bed, sofa or cabinet. A removable handlebar lets you choose between a supported walk and an open, desk-friendly surface. For people who walk rather than run and need to hide the machine away, that combination is the draw.

In its favour

  • A 121 x 40 cm belt is long for a machine that folds to 125 x 59 x 14 cm.
  • The handlebar removes in seconds for open walking under a desk, according to the maker.
  • Listed as no installation required, with a remote, LED display and app tracking.

Good to know

  • The 8 km/h top speed suits walking and light jogging, not running.
  • The listing does not give the motor power, and the 110 kg user limit is the lowest here.

Our take

Handlebar on or off

The handlebar fits on for stability during warm-ups or recovery walks and comes off in seconds, according to WalkingPad. With it removed, the full deck is open for walking under a standing desk. Control comes from the LED display, a remote or an app for logging progress.

A brushless motor drives the belt and is described as low noise, though no horsepower or decibel figure is given.

Conflicting speed and weight figures

The title claims 7.5 mph, while the bullets and spec table both give a 5 mph ceiling, about 8 km/h, starting from 1 mph. Plan on the lower figure: this is a pad for walking and light jogging.

Weight capacity also varies. The spec table and title say 242 lb, about 110 kg, while one bullet says 250 lb. Either way, it is lower than most pads in our guides.

Deck, belt and what comes in the box

The deck is listed at 47.6 x 15.7 inches, roughly 121 x 40 cm, which gives a longer walking area than many 100 cm pads. An 8-layer belt provides cushioning. The frame is aluminium and weighs 25.9 kg. Folded, it measures about 125 x 59 x 14 cm. No installation is required, and the box includes a remote, a bracelet, a power cord and silicone oil for belt maintenance.

Versus the WalkingPad R2 and Urevo SpaceWalk Lite

The WalkingPad R2 also folds in half but stores upright, and with its rail raised it reaches 12 km/h, so it suits people who want to run. The Urevo SpaceWalk Lite is a simpler flat pad with a 100 x 40 cm walking area, 1 to 6 km/h and a stated 2-year warranty, but it has no handlebar or 180 degree fold.

Verdict

Choose this WalkingPad if compact, under-bed storage and a removable handlebar matter most and you weigh under 110 kg. Runners should look at the WalkingPad R2, and anyone happy with a basic flat pad and no handlebar may find the Urevo SpaceWalk Lite a simpler fit.
