A 2-in-1 pad sits between a walking pad and a full treadmill. With the handrail folded down it slides under a desk for slow walking; lift the rail and it unlocks faster speeds for jogging or running, usually up to 10 or 12 km/h. The trade-off is that most still use a walking pad deck, so the belt is shorter than on a full running treadmill.
